Scenes for "Life On Tilt" shot at Riverside Rounders
Recently, our club had the pleasure of being the backdrop for a number of scenes being shot for the independent film, "Life On Tilt". The film is an adaptation of the book of the same
title written by John Blowers.
We were joined by John himself and the production company of Knight Owl Entertainemnt. A speacial appearance was made by Charlie Shoten, a poker pro
who was ranked among the top ten poker players in the world in 2003. As an added bonus, a number of our members got to serve as extras in a few of
the scenes.
"Life On Tilt" is a novel about those interests that have equal potential to complete or destroy us. Poker is used throughout the work as a catalyst
for change, conflict and character development. If you'd like to get a copy of john's book, we're going to be getting some in the club for resale, or you
can go to Amazon.com for a copy. (Life On Tilt at Amazon)
We hope to have a copy of the footage shot at the club posted on the site soon. You can also keep an eye on Knight Owl's site for the final edited preview.
It was difficult to run a tournament during the production and we'd like to thank all of our members for their patience and cooperation during what was sometimes a tedious process. Despite this small inconvenience, everyone enjoyed themselves and we look forward to seeing the finished product. We'll keep everyone informed with the progres of the project.
